One Course in Distance Learning In Teaching and Learning at a Distance we studied foundations and theory of distance learning and also designed and delivered our own instructional modules over 2-way video and WebCT. My topic was Responsible Conduct of Research - the Ethical Use of Human Subjects. I developed an animated, interactive, multimedia PowerPoint Presentation on the history of human subject research ethics for the 2-way video component. I also built an interactive, experiential microworld in WebCT for learners to explore the history and complexities of research ethics as shown in the screen capture below. You may visit my WebCT minicourse if you like (for as long as Purdue leaves it on their WebCT server that is).
Once you're in WebCT, click on the EDCI 591Z Human Subjects Protection link (you can email the instructor Jeanne M. Winstead - in case you have questions). You may be prompted for your login again in order to see the Flash intro. Have fun! Click here for my final planning and design document for both these projects. |
