William Penn today. Elaine surprised me! She was telling Charmaine how to spell words. That's her weakest skill and she usually cringes when I mention it and gets totally turned off. We played scrabble she has a difficult time with that and perquackey because she can't "see" words. It's because she doesn't spell. Picked up the Washington pics some were lovely, some were average and six didn't turn out! Didn't get the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial.

Had four guys for the Broad Street Bible study today it was really nice. Fatty was so sweet tempered and cooperative today. It was his turn to shine. He knows a lot from when Gomer taught the club! Fatty was tired. He wasn't with the other kids during recreation, but off by himself reading. Kenny's been really nice too, and Ba Ba and Don!

Sat and talked on the stairs with Annie Williamson from 8:00 to 11:00 tonight! Annie graduated from Moody Bible Institute. She asked me a lot of questions about Bob Jones rules and I shared with her that I felt very shaky and inconfident relating with because of my background. She shared some of her own difficulties in that area family problems, and plus she shared that she was attacked when she was young. But do you know she can praise the Lord radiantly for that experience! She says it kept her on a straight path.

Delores took her teen girls from the Germantown club out to supper and then to the Germantown Crusade with Dr. Hart tonight

Looking back from 2008. Annie Williamson went on to marry a high school sweetheart Steve Chapman and they formed the singing duo Steve and Annie Chapman. I used to hear their songs on the radio. Benny and I ran into them many years later in a Shoney's in Evansville - we were driving to Kentucky to visit Benny's family.
