THE HUMANE USE AND CARE OF LABORATORY ANIMALS
Purdue University's Animal Care and Use Committee (PACUC) and Laboratory Animal Program (LAP) used to offer a one-size-fits-all orientation program for university investigators, students, and animal caretakers on their ethical and legal responsibilities for the care and use of research animals. PACUC and LAP had developed both well-designed face-to-face and web-based versions. However, they wanted to customize the online orientation to various target audiences - undergrads, animal caretakers, and P.I.'s.
